AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the official release, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Additional Features
Players who finish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with numerous objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
