I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
